Grants & Giving

We are stewards of Biogen’s grants and giving strategy which aims to catalyze scientific innovation, address unmet patient needs, and advance medical and disease education through funding a variety of programs and initiatives throughout the year.

Biogen Grants and Giving strives to create opportunities through various funding mechanisms including grants, fellowships, and sponsorships.

Our grant application portal will be open for submissions as of January 1, 2025. At this time, we will only be accepting applications which meet specific criteria:

• Only Grant Applications outside of North America will be accepted in 2025.
• Applications must be related to one of the following disease areas: Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer’s Disease (AD).  Please select your local region to view specific areas of interest relevant to that area.

We are continuously reviewing and evaluating our global grants strategy and will modify the above-mentioned criteria accordingly.  

Grants and Fellowships:
All requests for grants and fellowships are temporarily deferred until 2024, apply here.

Sponsorships:
For Sponsorship requests in Australia, New Zealand, United States, or those global in scope, apply here.
