Our grant application portal will be open for submissions as of January 1, 2025. At this time, we will only be accepting applications which meet specific criteria:

• Only Grant Applications outside of North America will be accepted in 2025.
• Applications must be related to one of the following disease areas: Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).  Please select your local region to view specific areas of interest relevant to that area.

We are continuously reviewing and evaluating our global grants strategy and will modify the above-mentioned criteria accordingly.  

Financial contributions provided to eligible organizations to support specific, time-limited projects or programs with identified objectives, without tangible benefit to Biogen in return.

Funding for training programs created by medical schools, academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, or other healthcare-related organizations to support faculty and visiting scholars to advance their educational and research activities.

Financial contributions provided to eligible organizations in connection with specific events or initiatives in exchange for tangible benefit to Biogen.
